OUR RECENT VW RESTORATION’S

1969 VW BEETLE

Nick approached us at our workshop and asked us to restore his 1969 VW Beetle. Upon inspection the true extent of the work was clear.

In order to make the welding repairs we fabricated a custom rotisserie to brace the vehicle. This classic VW received a full nut and bolt restoration. We replaced the affected panels with best quality available and re-chromed all of the brightwork.

Keeping the interior as original as possible we sourced replacement seats to match the vehicle year. We made and fitted a custom headliner and a brand new carpet.

We rebuilt the top end of the engine and repainted the tin wear. The engine received a full service and we recommissioned the engine numbers on the tin wear.

To ensure full coverage the vehicle was sprayed off the chassis in the original colour Beetle Blue L633. It was then reassembled onto the floor pan and built up. We commissioned a custom plaque for the vehicle in the original owners name.

2000 VW T4

Tracey’s VW T4 was looking tired and after a previous home respray using a rattle can this VW needed bringing back to life!

We started by stripping the exterior of the vehicle and removing the interior.

We made repairs to areas including the left inner wing, right front inner sill, left rear wheel arch and the outer sill for both cab doors.

We the prepped the exterior and interior for paint taking extra care on the area’s previously sprayed with the rattle can.

After paint we applied stone chip to the underside, installed a new windscreen and side windows with new top quality rubbers.

We also prepped and painted the wheels black.

1972 VW PANEL VAN

Kate bought Mario to us for a respray, a mechanical check and a full underside refresh.

Upon commencing the prep work it was clear that Mario's previous paint respray had covered up a wealth of bad repairs and rusty areas. Before being able to respray Mario the team had to carry out a front panel rebuild along with repairs to the gutters, wheel arches, windscreen, battery trays, cab doors and cargo floor area.

After the repairs and prep had been carried out Mario was resprayed Volkswagen Light Grey (L345).

The team also cleaned back the underside of all dirt and grime and all components were removed and cleaned, prepped and painted black. An application of tintable raptor truck bed liner was applied to the underside in matching L345.

Upon rebuild various parts were replaced including the brake discs and the shock absorbers and the engine was stripped, rebuilt with new parts where required and serviced.

The team carried out a full electrical check on Mario and rebuilt the exterior of the vehicle with all new headlights, rear lights, side indicators, door and window seals and wing mirrors.

Sound deadening was then applied to the interior before the original plywood was refitted. The team then fitted four refurbished wheels, new tyres and new baby moon hubcaps.
